Removing and installing steering column
You will need: the key "12" face head "12" with extension. 1. Disconnect a wire from the plug "minus" of the storage battery. 3. Remove the paddle switch assembly with a connector (see. "Replacement of the steering column switch"). | | 4. Under the instrument panel, unscrew the nut and remove the screw terminal connections of the steering shaft and flexible coupling. | 5. Remove the nut of the bottom fastening of the steering column. |
| | 6. Remove the two nuts securing the steering column to the dashboard. | 7. Remove the stem from the steering shaft terminals rubber sleeve and remove the steering column of the vehicle. |
| | 8. Remove the steering shaft from the housing column ... | 9. ... and remove the plastic centering sleeve. |
10. Install the centering sleeve on the steering shaft and the shaft - the housing of the steering column. 11. Insert the shank of the steering shaft in a rubber sleeve. | | 12. Slide the centering sleeve so that it fits into the housing of the steering column. | 13. Tighten a coupling bolt terminal connections of the steering shaft and flexible coupling. |
| | 14. Tighten the bottom ... | 15. ... and the two nuts of the top fastening of the steering column. |
16. Slide the centering sleeve on the steering shaft so that it came out of the steering column housing. 17. Next, install the parts in reverse order of removal.
