Replacing the brake servo



You will need: the keys "13", "14", "high" face head "12", pliers, ruler.
1. Loosen the clamp on the vacuum hose to the fitting of the amplifier ...
2. ... slide the clamp on the hose and remove the hose from the amplifier.
3. Remove the two nuts securing the master cylinder to the vacuum amplifier ...
4. ... and, without disconnecting the pipes from the master cylinder, take him aside.

WARNINGS
Do not pull the master cylinder to a distance greater than that required to remove the amplifier to avoid damaging the pipes.
Seal the brake master cylinder, mounted in a nest the amplifier at each dismantling of the compound is replaced.

5. In the cabin under the dashboard, disconnect from the brake pedal bracket brake light switch (see. "Replacement of gauges and switches").
6. Unplug the vacuum booster pushrod from the brake pedal (see. "Removing and installing brake pedal").

NOTE
So is the fourth servo mounting nuts to the bracket.

8. ... and a little bit forward relegating the master cylinder, remove the vacuum amplifier.
9. Remove the protective cover of the pusher.
10. Measure the distance from the amplifier to the center of the hole in the fork of a pusher. The distance should be 278-279 mm. Otherwise, adjust the length of the pusher.
11. Hold the adjusting sleeve, loosen the locknut.
12. Rounding or unscrewing the adjustment sleeve, change the length of the pusher to 278-279 mm.
13. Tighten the lock nut while holding the sleeve second key.
14. If you removed the vacuum booster to replace, and the new amplifier is not a pusher (and, if necessary, replace the pusher when worn holes of his fork), remove the spring clip pusher ...
15. ... remove the plunger rod of the adjusting sleeve amplifier and install it into the sleeve shaft of the new amplifier, securing the spring retainer. After that check and, if necessary, adjust the length of the pusher (see. Pp. 10-12).
16. Install the brake booster and all the removed parts in reverse order of removal.
