Replacing the rear parking brake cable
Rear parking brake cable, replace it with the excessive stretching (inability to adjust the handbrake), mechanical damage living or cable sheath. NOTE Each rear wheel brake is a separate cable. Showing removal and installation of the left rope. The right cable is removed and installed similarly. |
You will need: a key and face head "10", flat-blade screwdriver, pliers. 1. Loosen the cables of a drive by loosening the adjusting nut to the end of the threaded tip of the front of a cable (see. Nos. 1 and 2, "Replacing the parking brake cable"), but do not remove the nuts completely. | | 2. Disconnect the cable equalizer tip rear drive, remove it from the slot the equalizer. | 3. undoing nuts, remove the cable support bracket on the fuel filler flap ... |
| | 4. ... then the front ... | 5. ... and rear brackets on the body ... |
| | 6. ... and the holder on the rear suspension arm. | 7. Having hooked a screw-driver, remove the mounting sleeve cover of a cable from an arm on the basis of the body ... |
8. ... and remove the cable from the bracket holes. | | 10. Press the screwdriver forward expander lever ... | 11. ... and pliers disconnect expander arm tip of a cable. |
| | 12. On the back side of the panel, remove the brake spring clamp sheath ... | 13. ... and pulling the rope through the hole in the panel, remove it from the vehicle. |
14. Install the rear parking brake cable in the reverse order of removal.
