The switch (lock) of ignition
Refitting Disconnect the negative battery terminal. Remove the driver airbag module.
A WARNING The air bag system (SRS) is designed to retain enough energy to inflate the airbag within 30 seconds, even after the battery is disconnected. Therefore, if you start servicing airbags immediately after disconnecting the battery, serious injury could result in involuntary disclosure of airbags. |
Remove the self-tapping screw and remove the horn button. Remove the nut and washer securing the steering wheel. Pull forward and remove the damper. Special tool 09561-1001 remove a steering wheel.

Remove the three screws and remove the top and bottom of the column cover (Fig. 2.130).
A WARNING To remove the steering wheel, do not use a hammer. |
Remove the bottom cover. Remove the pin and remove the multi-selector. Remove the screws and remove the switch (lock) of ignition from the steering column. Installation is performed in reverse order of removal.
Check Disconnect the connector located under the steering column.

Check for continuity between the contacts switch connector (2.131).

If the conductivity does not correspond to that shown in Fig. 2.132, replace the switch.
