general information The fuel injection system based on a sequence of pulses and measurement of the air flow. The system supplies the engine cylinders toplivnovozdushno th mixture of optimal composition. Intake air and fuel injection system works in conjunction with the electronic engine control. The latter includes various sensors, switches and the engine control unit (PCM). All sensors and switches are connected to the PCM, which processes the incoming data and calculates the installation phases gas distribution and duration of opening the electrically operated fuel injectors. The basic requirement for optimal fuel delivery is determined by the data coming to the PCM from the air flow sensor. Other sensors and switches are used for the following measurements: - coolant temperature;
- the engine speed of the engine;
- the oxygen content in the exhaust gases;
- determining the position of the top dead point of the piston of the first cylinder in the compression stroke.
Various sensors and switches are informed of any changes to the operating conditions and sends appropriate signals to the PCM. This allows you to adjust the length of the opening of PCM (pulse duration) injectors and maintain the optimal mode for reducing the toxicity of harmful substances in exhaust gases and the operation of the engine under different operating conditions of the vehicle. To reduce the emissions of harmful substances into the atmosphere together with the exhaust system, the following emission control: - EVAP system;
- crankcase ventilation system;
- exhaust gas recirculation;
- the catalytic converter.
