Repair the generator
You will need: the key "24", a screwdriver with a flat blade and Phillips, barbs, soldering iron tester, stripper for bearing the rotor. | | 2. Remove the three screws that secure the generator housing. | 3. Press the holders on the jacket of the stator housing and remove the cover. |
| | 4. Remove the two screws securing the electronic voltage regulator to the stator housing. | 5. Unsolder concluded by electronic voltage regulator rectifier unit and remove the voltage regulator. |
NOTE To collect the molten solder using a special device. |
| | 6. Unsolder three pins 1 of the stator winding of the rectifier unit, remove the screw and remove the 2 mounting rectifier unit. | 7. Remove the four screws tightening the stator housing and the front cover of the generator. |
| | 8. Mark the relative position of the stator relative to the front cover of the generator and the stator housing. | 9. Pry the screwdriver stator housing ... |
| | 10. ... and remove the case. | 11. Pry the screwdriver stator ... |
| 12. ... and out of the front cover. |
13. In order not to damage or when loosening the pulley cover up, wear a belt pulley on a larger cross-section. |
| | 14. Clamp in a vice with a belt pulley, unscrew the nut ... | 15. ... remove a pulley ... |
| | 16. ... and the spacer sleeve. | 17. Remove the rotor from the front cover. |
NOTE Inspect slip rings of the rotor. If they are found teases, risks, scratches, wear tracks from brushes, polish the ring. |
18. Look at the front cover of the generator. If you feel the rotation of the bearing clearance between the rings, rolling or jamming of the rolling elements, protective rings are damaged or have streaks of grease, replace the bearing. If there are any cracks in the cover, especially in places of fastening of the generator, replace the cover of the new. |
19. To replace the front bearing ... |
| | 20. ... remove the four screws securing the cover of its ... | 21. ... and remove the cover. |
| 22. Press out the front bearing from the cover. |
23. Fitting the mandrel of suitable diameter new bearing into the cover by applying a force to the outer ring. |
24. Check ease of rotation of the bearing from the rotor slip rings. If you feel the rotation of the bearing clearance between the rings, rolling or jamming of the rolling elements, protective rings are damaged or have streaks of grease, bearing should be replaced. For this Xpress bearing puller to the shaft and install a new rotor by applying a force to the inner ring. |
| | 25. Check rotor winding resistance tester, connecting it to the slip rings. The resistance should be about 3 ohms. If the tester shows infinity, then open in the windings and the rotor should be replaced. | 26. Check rotor winding circuit on "weight". To do this, connect the tester probes to the pole of the rotor, and in turn to the contact rings. Measured resistance should be infinite, otherwise replace the rotor. |
| 27. Check stator windings for open, turn the tester by measuring the resistance between the windings of all the findings. If the measured resistance will tend to infinity, replace the stator. |
28. Check the stator winding insulation to the housing. For this... |
| | 29. ... connect the tester probes to the body of the stator, and in turn to each of the conclusion of the windings. Measured resistance should be very high (must tend to infinity). Otherwise replace the stator. | 30. Check the rectifier unit. To do this, connect the tester probes to the conclusion phase stator coil and air cooler diodes ... |
| 31. ... and, interchanging probes tester, measure the resistance. If the tester readings are identical in both cases, the rectifier unit is faulty and must be replaced. |
32. Similarly, the other two check diode oscillator circuit. |
33. Assemble the generator in reverse order, with the following: - Before installing the generator rotor brushes drown electronic voltage regulator and lock them in this position by inserting a pin into the hole cover (such as a paper clip). After assembly, remove the pin; - Align the front cover of the generator and the stator housing on earlier made labels. |
