Conditions for firing airbags
Front airbags are triggered under the following conditions. - The strength of a frontal impact of a vehicle exceeds a predetermined value. - The direct head-on collision of the car with the rigid wall at a vehicle speed above 22 km / h. - Hitting a curb, pavement edge or hard durable item. - A hard landing after a jump or drop the car. - An oblique collision in front of the car, direction within the 60 degree sector. - Falling into a deep pit and a collision with the wall of the pit. The conditions under which the front air bags may not work are listed below. - A collision with a tree or pole. Despite the severe damage the body in similar accidents, the longitudinal deceleration of the vehicle can not exceed a predetermined value at which shall operate front airbags. Oblique hit the front of the vehicle. In this case, the longitudinal deceleration experienced by the vehicle may not exceed a predetermined value, which must operate with front airbags. - Facing the rear of the vehicle or the rear underrun protection of a truck. Longitudinal deceleration experienced by the vehicle during such collisions, can not exceed a predetermined value, which must operate with front airbags. The following are conditions under which the front air bags do not usually work. - Beat the car behind. - Side impact vehicle. However, it can trigger side airbags and inflatable curtains. - Rollover. This may work side airbags and inflatable curtains, but not the front air bags. Side airbags and inflatable curtains are activated, if the strength of a side impact (right or left) exceeds a predetermined level. However, the front airbags while usually fail. The conditions under which the side airbags and inflatable curtains may not work are as follows. - Oblique hit the front of the vehicle. In this case, the lateral deceleration experienced by the vehicle can not exceed a predetermined value at which shall operate side airbags and inflatable curtains. - A lateral collision with a tree or pole. Despite the severe damage the body in similar accidents, the lateral vehicle deceleration may not exceed a predetermined value at which shall operate side airbags and inflatable curtains. - Rollover. In this case, the lateral acceleration experienced by the vehicle may not exceed a predetermined value, which must operate with side airbags and inflatable curtains. - Lateral collision with two-wheeled vehicle. In such collisions lateral acceleration experienced by the vehicle can not exceed a predetermined value at which shall operate side airbags and inflatable curtains. Side airbags and inflatable curtains are generally not disclosed in the following cases. - Beat the car behind. - Frontal hit the car. However, in this case, can be actuated frontal airbags.
