Pyrotechnic pretensioners and load limiters seat belts installed in the front seat
For better protection in a crash seat belts installed on the driver and front passenger are equipped with pyrotechnic pretensioners and load limiters. When a sufficiently strong frontal (or near-frontal) collision of the car simultaneously trigger front airbags and seat belt pretensioners. Pretensioners provide rapid tightening their belts and eliminate the slack in the deployment of air bags. Seat belt pretensioners will not be able to ensure effective protection of people at a traffic accident when wearing seat belts properly. Load limiter seat belt, working in a controlled manner, losing the strap to reduce the burden on the chest of the passenger to a safe level. If the front passenger airbag has a switch, it must be in the ?ON? (included) to pretensioners could work in a collision of a vehicle.
ATTENTION Improper disposal of pretensioners or disposal of vehicles with non-disabled system pretensioners is dangerous. Failure to observe the necessary precautions can result in personal injury. Rules for safe disposal can be found on the dealer or qualified Mazda. |
Seat belt pretensioners are activated only when a sufficiently strong frontal (or near-frontal) collision of a vehicle. Pretensioners, as a rule, do not work when you turn the vehicle in side impacts and rear impact. When inflated airbags and pretensioners triggered emits smoke, which is not toxic. The appearance of smoke is not a sign of any fire. Typically, this gas has no adverse effect on the health of occupants of the vehicle. However, people with sensitive skin may experience light skin irritation. If your skin or eyes got any particles or residues from deployed airbags or pretensioners, immediately wash the particles with water.
