Check the coolant level in the engine is cold after every 1,000 kilometers. The coolant level should be between the ?�MIN?� and ?�MAX?� the expansion tank (Fig. 1.49). Do not top up with cold water into a hot engine. Use only a mixture of distilled water and ethylene glycol antifreeze (Table. 1.9). The use of other proportions of the solution may lead to failure of the cooling system. In the absence of a cooling liquid in a broad tank, check the fluid level in the radiator by opening the cap and add fluid to the level of the filler neck, and then in a broad tank to a label ?�MAX?�.
A WARNING Do not open the expansion tank on the hot engine. If you want to perform any work on the hot engine gently loosen the tank cap, relieving the pressure slowly. |
