Features removal and installation of the diesel engine



In general, the procedure for removing and installing the diesel engine is similar to that described for the petrol engine.

A WARNING
If the vehicle is equipped with turbocharging, be very careful when working with the air supply system! Avoid getting anything into the inlet of the turbocharger - immediately after dismounting, close the hole with plastic wrap and secure with an elastic band. Assuming ingestion of foreign objects, it may cause damage to the turbocharger expensive.

Before disconnecting the main cable harness requires the following additional steps:
- Disconnect the vacuum hose from the brake booster vacuum pump on the engine block;
- If the vehicle is equipped with exhaust gas recirculation, disconnect vacuum hoses from the EGR valve, vacuum hose of the amplifier of brake system, air intake hose and, where appropriate, pump fuel injection system;
- 1Y on the engine, disconnect the air pipe from the air filter, crankcase ventilation hose and intake manifold;
- AAZ disconnect the engine air intake pipe of the turbocharger;
- All the engines with turbo charging, disconnect the exhaust pipe of the exhaust system from the turbocharger;
- The engine 1Z disconnect the air intake hose from the mass air flow sensor, turbocharger hoses, PCV hose, hose boost pressure control, located on the side of the turbocharger, disconnect the sensor connector inlet air temperature.
Installation is the reverse order. On engines 1Y and AAZ after connecting the cable of an accelerator of cold start to the high pressure fuel pump should be checked and if necessary to adjust the system cold start.
