Mounting block

The mounting block is located on the driver's side at the bottom of the front panel. It serves to accommodate fuses, relays and the main beams for attaching wires. The fuses are located under the cover of the fuse box.
1. The main fuses are located under the relay in one row. Chains, protect each of the fuses are shown on the cover of the unit. Some models have additional fuses are installed in individual holders arranged on or relays or in the engine compartment.
2. Inside the fuse wire should be visible. If the fuse is blown, this wire will be either broken or melted.
When replacing, always install a fuse having the same nominal characteristics, which were in the previous fuse. Never use a fuse with other rated characteristics and do not replace it by any other member. Never replace a fuse more than once, without knowing the cause of the fault. Ratings fuse are indicated on top of him. To facilitate the recognition of the fuses are also color-coded depending on the current strength: Beige - 5 A red - 10 A blue - 15A, yellow - 20 A green - 30 A.
If the fuse protects more than one circuit, then try to locate the fault, including each circuit individually (if possible), until it again will not happen blown fuse. Always have a spare car fuses all the necessary denominations - one spare fuses of each rating should be attached at the base of the fuse box.
On vehicles with diesel engine electric power circuit of glow plugs is protected by fusible link. In all of the first models, both gasoline and diesel engines, chain incorporating the radiator cooling fan also has a fuse.

Location relays and fuses on the front side of the mounting block shown in Fig. 9.18.
If the connection system is controlled by a relay, faulty and it can be assumed that the fault is a relay, then turn on the system. If the relay function, there must be an audible click when it is triggered. If this is the case, the defective system components or wiring. If the relay fails, then either it has no power or control voltage or the relay itself is faulty. To test, replace the relay under test with a known good, but watch out - keep in mind that the relay, which look similar, are not necessarily identical in characteristics and the functions they perform. The main body of each relay applied identification number that does not match the number on the panel of the unit, said in a rectangular frame in the diagrams. Designation and appointment of the relay presented in the Table. 9.7.
Circuit protected by fuses, are presented in Table. 9.8.
