Removing and installing the rear shock absorber
For removing and installing the rear shock, do the following:
| Fig. 6.10. Suspension strut: 1 - a spring; 2 - a lock ring; 3 - a nut; 4 - support; 5 - rubber pad; 6 - the plug; 7 - lower support; 8 - the upper bearing cup; 9 - washer; 10 - the top support; 11 - Buffer compression stroke; 12 - shock; 13 - housing; 14 - cap
- Holding the damper rod in a fixed position, remove the screws 3 (Fig. 6.10); - Remove the shock absorber spring mount (plug, upper support plate and so on. D.); - Remove the shock absorber buffer compression stroke cap, retaining ring support. Assembling the shock absorber is carried out in reverse order of removal. Wherein: - Before installing the shock absorber, remove all the air out of him and check his work. To do this, hold the lower end of the shock absorber in a vise, remove, and then drown shock-absorber rod. Reaction force must be constant throughout the course; - Suspension springs are color-coded. Always install a spring with a corresponding modification of the vehicle marking; - When changing the buffer of the compression stroke, use a new buffer corresponding to this modification of the car (the same form as the previous one); - Establishing buffer compression stroke of the shock absorber on the stem, make sure it is the correct orientation;

- Align the location of the lower bearing cups: the holes ?a? (Fig. 6.11) should be located on the same line with the axis of the wheel; - Establish a spring suspension (tapered side down);

- Establish the top support. End of the first coil spring should coincide with a mark ?Federamfanq? (?The beginning of spring") on top of the support (Fig. 6.12); - Install the shock absorber rod nut, nut tightening torque 15 Nm.
