Inspection

A warning

Do not twist or bend a gear belt. Exclude hit on a toothed belt oil, coolant or fuel.

If there is pitting of the teeth of a gear belt, probably jammed distributor, water pump, oil pump and camshaft.
A warning

If ruptured toothed belt with the engine running, it is possible that a collision occurred on the valve piston, whereby the valve can be bent. Check valve clearances. On the bent valves, valve clearances are much more required.

If there is a significant deterioration or bundle on the outer surface of the toothed belt, check the condition of the tread idler pulley.

If there is wear or damage on one side of the belt, check the guide gear belt and alignment of pulleys of a gear belt.

If there are any defects in the toothed belt should be replaced. Periodic replacement of the timing belt should be carried out after 100 000 km of run of the car.
