Disassembly of the engine
To disassemble the engine into the stand. In the absence of the stand, set the engine on a flat surface on a wooden stand and secure it from tipping over. Before disassembling, clean the outside of the engine and clean kerosene. Components and parts taken from the engine, wash with kerosene. Do not immerse in kerosene parts with internal lubrication channels. These parts should be thoroughly cleaned with a cloth soaked in kerosene, and lubricating channels to clean the wire and blow compressed air. Small details add up to a prepared containers. When disassembling the engine retains the old gasket. They serve as a model for the manufacture of gaskets in the absence of new ones. After removal of the engine to remove it the following components and assemblies: generator, high-voltage wires of the ignition system, spark plugs, ignition distributor; details of the fuel injection system; intake and exhaust manifolds; oil dipstick, oil filter, motor mount; clutch, flywheel or the drive plate, thermostat and water pump. Disassembly of the engine in the following sequence: - Remove the toothed timing belt (see. Sect. 3.1.4); - Remove the camshaft and tappets (see. Sect. 3.1.5); - Remove the cylinder head (see. Sect. 3.1.6); - Remove the intermediate shaft (see. Sect. 3.1.9); - Remove the flywheel or the drive plate (see. Sect. 3.1.8); - Remove the oil pan (see. Sect. 3.1.10); - Remove the oil pump (see. Sect. 3.1.12); - Remove the piston from the connecting rod (see para. 3.1.13);

- Check that the numbering on the cover 2 (see. Fig. 3.27) crankshaft bearing cap number the punch if the numbering is absent; - Unscrew bolts 1 on main bearing cover number 1, 2, 4, 5, and remove the cover 2 together with the inserts. Do not depersonalize 3 main bearing inserts, when assembled, they should be installed on the former places;

|
- Check the axial play of the crankshaft 3 probe (Fig. 3.36) between the cheek and persistent half rings of a cranked shaft. If axial play exceeds the allowable (see. Sect. 3.1.1), replace persistent half rings 4 and 6 (see. Fig. 3.27) or the crankshaft; - Unscrew bolts 1 securing the cover of the central main bearing number 3 and remove the cover; - Remove the crankshaft 7; - Remove the inserts 3 beds of radical bearings. Do not depersonalize main bearing shells, the assembly must be installed on the former places.
