Service
Service is at the following intervals: every 12 months - items marked with (???), and every 30 000 km - all service points (??? and ??????).
A warning  VW service station at each inspection interrogated further by using special electronic devices memory of engine control units, automatic transmission and air conditioning. Therefore, it is advisable to attend the SRT regularly, even if the service is conducted in-house.
??? Engine: Oil change, change oil filter.
??? Cooling and heating systems: Check the coolant level, antifreeze concentration. Visual inspection of tightness and external pollution of a radiator.
??? exhaust system and lambda probe cable: check for damage.
??? Engine: external inspection for leaks Oil System.
??? Diesel engine: check the idling speed and adjust if necessary.
??? Diesel engine: check the exhaust system for the presence of carbon black (work HUNDRED).
??? Petrol engine: Check idle speed and CO content in the warm up to operating temperature of the engine. When deviations from the desired values apply for correcting the fault to the service station.
??? Diesel engine: draining water from the fuel filter.
?????? V-belts: checking the reliability and status of all belts.
?????? Spark plugs: replace.
?????? Fuel filter: replace (only diesel engine).
?????? Timing belts: check condition and tension (diesel engines only).
A warning 5-cylinder diesel engine with a semi-automatic 10.91 tensioning device, in this case, to check only every 60 000 km.
Transmission, drive wheels
??? Protective covers of hinges: check integrity and damage.
?????? manual and automatic transmission: check integrity by inspection.
?????? Automatic transmission: Check of level ATF in the transmission and drive axles, if necessary, add oil.
Front axle and steering
??? Ball joints rod ends: check clearances and mounting. Check the dust caps.
??? Axial joints: check clearances and the dust caps.
??? Steering: check clearances, inspection covers for leaks and damage.
?????? Power steering: checking fluid level, if necessary top up the hydraulic oil (from 92 model year only every 60 000 km).
Body
??? Surge doors and mounting screws: Grease spray for cylinder locks G 000 400 01.
?????? underbody protection and preservation of cavities: check.
?????? Seat belts: checking for damage.
Brakes, tires, wheels
??? Brake fluid level: check, top up if necessary.
??? Brakes: Check the thickness of the front and rear brake pads.
??? Brakes: Check tightness and no damage pipes, hoses, brake cylinders, brake booster and the brake.
??? Tires: Check tread depth and tire pressure; check tire wear and damage (including spare wheel).
Electrical
??? All electrical consumers: check operation.
??? System of lighting and signaling: checking, if necessary, adjust the headlights.
??? Audible Warning: check.
??? Wiper: checking wear rubber petals.
??? Cleaning glass: check operation, check the adjustment of jets, topping up, checking lights washing system.
Every 2 years
?????? brake fluid replacement.
Every 60 000 km
?????? Dry air filter: Replacement filter element, cleaning the air filter housing.
?????? Automatic transmission: change oil ATF (work HUNDRED).
Every 120 000 km
?????? Only diesel engines: the replacement of the timing belt and the high pressure fuel pump (pump) (work HUNDRED).
