BU has the function of diagnosing, which provides continuous monitoring of input and output signals. In the case of registration of a failure, the result of which is an excess of harmful substances in exhaust gases, BU includes LED lamp failure, signaling a fault. A number of emergency programs and allows you to control the car in the event of a failure in any of the systems. Troubleshooting is facilitated by the presence of diagnostic connector, which connects the unit Volvo's reading of fault codes (tab. 9.1).
