Replacing the brake pads of the rear wheels
A WARNING Replace the brake pads before lining them become thinner than 2 mm. |
Work is carried out in the following sequence: 1) Remove the rear brake pads:

- To remove the hub cap and the wheel mounting bracket 1 (Fig. 6.10) and the brake hose to its holder; - Remove the bolt 2 from the upper caliper guide pin 3; - Turn 3 slide downwards and remove the brake pads 4;
NOTE Do not press on the brake pedal when the brake pads are removed. |
2) Clean and inspect the caliper and the brake disk, check the disk and hub runout, guiding the state support; works are made in the same way as the front brake mechanisms (see. "Replacing the brake pads of the front wheels");

3) prepare a support for the installation of new pads (Fig. 6.11): - Fix the caliper relative to the brake disk; - Click on the the caliper piston using a special tool; - Fully tighten the piston clockwise and lock it in this position; 4) Install the brake pads: - Wear light wear on the inner brake pad on the lower side; - Put the brake pads; - Establish a support and put in place a new lock bolt. Tightening torque 35 Nm; - Tighten the brake hose in the holder; - Install the wheel, slightly tighten the nut, and then tighten them diagonally torque of 110 Nm; 5) Check and, if necessary, adjust the parking brake with the center of the adjusting nut in the handle of the parking brake: - Heeding ware tray, rubber cover, remove the three screws and remove the back of the console; - Check whether the rocker is located at a right angle, and if necessary, check the parking brake cables and a support;

- Turn the central adjustment nut so that the handle is located directly opposite the locking pin on both sides (Fig. 6.12); - Make sure that the parking brake cable is always taut; - Put the back of the console.
