Recommendations regarding the selection of positions

Engine start
The engine can be started only when the selector lever is in N or P position.
To translate the selector in one of the positions of motion for the vehicle is stationary and the engine running, you should press on the brake pedal.
If you select positions in the vehicle is stationary, do not push the accelerator pedal.
If the vehicle is moving the selector lever accidentally transferred to the position N, before the transfer lever in any forward gear position is necessary to release the accelerator and reduce speed to idle.

A WARNING
With the engine running when the selector lever is in any position motion, you must hold the vehicle by pressing the brake pedal, as even at idle the engine torque is transmitted to the wheels is not interrupted completely - the car "creeps."
If the vehicle is stationary choose one of the positions of movement, in any case, do not push the accelerator pedal (and increase the supply of fuel from the engine compartment by hand), otherwise the car will begin to move even when the parking brake.
Before undertaking any action with the engine running, set the selector lever to position P and the parking brake to slow down the car.

Movement from place
Select one of the movement positions (R, D, 3, 2, 1). Wait until the transmission gearbox and the start of the vehicle (in this case there is a faint jerk), only depress the accelerator pedal.

Stop
When short-term stop, such as at traffic lights, there is no need to move to a position N. It is enough to hold the vehicle by pressing the brake pedal. The engine should work at idle.

Parking
In order to prevent uncontrolled movement of the car after it stops always brake the car a lay brake. Additionally, put the lever of an automatic transmission to position P.
On the road with a bias brake the car parking brake, and then set the selector lever to position P. Thanks to this course of action locking mechanism will not be too heavily loaded, and then you can easily bring the selector lever out of this position.

Towing with a view to starting the engine
Towing or pushing a car with an automatic transmission make it impossible to start up the engine.
When the battery is discharged to start the engine, you can use the battery of another vehicle.
