Engine cooling system

Engine cooling system is filled at the factory coolant long life that does not need replacing.
The coolant consists of 60% water and 40% antifreeze concentrate G12 A8D (antifreeze based on ethylene glycol with corrosion additives). This mixture not only ensures the efficiency of the engine cooling system to a temperature of - 25 ? C, but also protects against corrosion of the details, especially of light metal alloy. In addition, it prevents scale formation and significantly increases the boiling point of the coolant.
Content of antifreeze in the warmer months and in warmer countries can not reduce the water filling. Ratio antifreeze concentrate in the solution should be at least 40%.
In harsh climates can increase the amount of concentrate G12 A8D, but not more than 60% (the freezing temperature of the coolant in this case is about -40 ? C), since at greater percentage of the concentrate will begin to rise and the freezing temperature indicators deteriorate thermal conductivity and heat capacity of the cooling liquid.
As the concentrate should be used only part of G12 A8D or concentrate with the brand TL-VW 774 D (pay attention to the label on the container).
Other concentrates may be first largely aggressive towards anticorrosive coatings.
Arising from exposure to concentrate the corrosion of metal parts can lead to leakage of the coolant, which in turn will cause serious engine damage.
When refilling the coolant in any case should not be confused with other structure G12 concentrates (and G11).
Structure G12 can be identified by the red color of the coolant expansion tank. If the coolant in the expansion tank brown mean structure G12 concentrate mixed with other! In this case, it is sure to replace the coolant, because it can cause serious disruption to the engine.
