Accumulator battery



Working with the battery it is necessary to wear safety goggles. We can not allow dripping acid and particles containing lead compounds in eyes, on skin or on clothing.
The electrolyte is very aggressive. Use protective gloves and goggles. Do not tilt the battery - from the vents can result electrolyte. If you get in your eyes, immediately rinse them with clean water for several minutes. After that, be sure to consult a doctor. In case of contact with skin or clothes, immediately neutralize acid alkaline soap and wash the appropriate place with plenty of clean water. If you mistakenly hit the inside of the body electrolyte, seek medical attention immediately.
When charging batteries, an explosive gas mixture is released.
When working with cables and electrical devices is forbidden the use of fire, sparking devices open by fire-dangerous light devices and smoking. Avoid sparking when handling cables and electrical devices. Never short the battery terminals directly - there is a great risk of injury due to heavy arcing.
Before carrying out any work on the electrical system of the car disconnect the wire from the negative battery terminal. When replacing bulbs is enough to turn off the respective switches.
When disconnecting the battery from the power-supply system, first disconnect the wire from the negative terminal, then from positive. With the engine running, you can not disconnect the battery, since otherwise be damaged electronic equipment electrical system.
When installing the battery on the vehicle, you must first connect the wire to the positive terminal and then to the negative.
To protect the battery housing from the effects of ultraviolet light, the battery should not be stored in direct sunlight.
