Battery under normal operating conditions the car is virtually maintenance free. At high ambient temperatures it is recommended from time to time to check the electrolyte level in the battery. You should check the level of electrolyte in the battery is charging. It must always be between the MIN and MAX deposited on the longitudinal sides of the battery (Fig. 2.33). By reducing the electrolyte level should be in the respective banks add distilled water to the MAX. This should be done before the electrolyte level falls below the MIN. Do not fill above the required level, as the electrolyte will flow through the vent. This can result in damage to paint and corrosion resistance of the body. After topping up the electrolyte should be tightly stoppered appropriate battery banks.
