Disconnect the cable end 5 accelerator from the lever throttle actuator (Fig. 4.19).
Remove the cover of a cable of an accelerator 3 (see. Fig. 4.19) of a rubber sleeve 4 bracket 1.

Vehicles with six-cylinder engines

Location vacuum hose (2) and bolts (1) securing the vacuum chamber cruise control
Fig. 4.20. Location vacuum hose (2) and bolts (1) securing the vacuum chamber cruise control

On vehicles with cruise control, disconnect the vacuum hose from the vacuum chamber 2 cruise control system (Fig. 4.20). Turn out two bolts and remove an arm of the vacuum chamber of the cruise control.

Fixing accelerator cable to the throttle lever drive vehicles with six-cylinder engines
Fig. 4.22. Fixing accelerator cable to the throttle lever drive vehicles with six-cylinder engines: 1 - a tip of a cable of an accelerator; 2 - an arm; 3 - a spring clip; 4 - grommet accelerator cable sheath; 5 - a spring clamp

Using open-end wrench 8 mm, remove the tip of a cable of an accelerator from the lever 1 the throttle (Fig. 4.22).
Remove the spring clip mounting shell 3 accelerator cable to the bracket 2, and remove the cable from the bracket 2.
Using the screwdriver blade as a lever, remove the spring retainer 5.
Pull the accelerator cable in the engine compartment.

Cars with automatic transmission

Location electrical connector (2) switch of compulsory inclusion of low transmission (kick-down) and clips (1) securing the accelerator cable
Fig. 4.23. Location electrical connector (2) switch of compulsory inclusion of low transmission (kick-down) and clips (1) securing the accelerator cable

Unplug electrical connector 2 switches compulsory inclusion of low transmission (kick-down) (Fig. 4.23).

All models
Release the clamp 1 (see. Fig. 4.23) fixing accelerator cable.

The direction of rotation (1) and remove (2) the accelerator cable from the bulkhead
Fig. 4.24. The direction of rotation (1) and remove (2) the accelerator cable from the bulkhead

Turn the lock on the accelerator cable 90 ? counterclockwise 1 (Fig. 4.24) and remove it from the bulkhead panel and the plenum.
Pull the accelerator cable in the engine compartment.

Setting
Installation is spent to sequences, return to removal, taking into account the following.
Avoid kinking the accelerator cable.

Vehicles with manual transmission
On the side of the engine compartment miss accelerator cable through a hole in the bulkhead panel and the plenum and secure it with a clamp 1 (see. Fig. 4.23).

Cars with automatic transmission
From the plenum miss accelerator cable through a hole in the bulkhead panel and the plenum and secure it with a clamp 1 (see. Fig. 4.23).
Connect the electrical connector 2 switches compulsory inclusion of low transmission (kick-down) (see. Fig. 4.23).

All models
After installing the cable lock accelerator bulkhead turn it 90 ? clockwise (Fig. 4.24).
Adjust the accelerator cable.

Adjustment
To adjust the position of the accelerator cable needed help of a second mechanic.

Vehicles with four-cylinder engines
Disconnect the cable end 5 (see. Fig. 4.19) accelerator from the lever throttle actuator.
Remove the spring retainer 2 (see. Fig. 4.19) sheath accelerator 3.

Vehicles with six-cylinder engines
Remove the spring clip 3 (see. Fig. 4.22) and the rubber plug 4 with the shell of the accelerator cable bracket.

All models
Press the accelerator pedal all the way and adjust the position of the accelerator cable so that the throttle was fully open. The position of the accelerator cable is adjusted by moving the rubber plug on the cable sheath. In this position, insert the grommet cover and secure it with the spring clip.
On cars with automatic gearbox when the accelerator cable adjustment throttle must be fully opened and the switch of compulsory inclusion of low transmission (kick-down) must be turned on (you should hear a click).
After adjusting the throttle cable Check the throttle position at idle.
