Assembly
When reassembly on one vehicle axle springs with similar characteristics, having the same color coding. Check the shock absorber to the absence of liquid leakage. Check the entire length of the damper rod on absence of pitting. Check the damper housing for mechanical damage. Install the shock absorber in vertical position and check the operation by moving the rod at full speed, as well as up and down to 50-100 mm. In all cases, shock-absorber rod should move smoothly, with a noticeable resistance. If the shock-absorber rod moves in jerks or there is mechanical damage, shock absorber must be replaced. Secure the shock absorber in a vice with soft sponges. Install the lower spring plate on the damper so that the hole in the plate of the spring was in the plane perpendicular to the axis of the plug and the hole in the bottom fastening of the shock-absorber (Fig. 12.10). This should be placed in the clamps from the hole. Deviation of the center hole in the lower plate spring from the vertical shall not exceed ? 2 ?.

Install the coil spring so that its lower coil is placed correctly in the lower plate spring (Fig. 12.11).

Replace the top plate of a spring so that the axis passing through the mounting holes of the top support, positioned at an angle of (11 ? 2 ?) with respect to the axis of the hole at the bottom of the fork shock absorber (Fig. 12.12). Location upper spring seat for the left and right shock absorber is different. Openings (see. Fig. 12.12) in the lower spring plate must be positioned on the part of the engine compartment.

Hold the shock-absorber rod from rotating, screw on a new nut with a fillet on a shock-absorber rod and tighten to 50 N ? m (see. Fig. 12.8). Carefully remove the adaptation for spring compression.

Check that the upper spring coil is properly positioned on the upper plate spring (Fig. 12.13). Install the shock absorber on a car rack.
