Brake fluid (every 2 years)

Brake fluid is hygroscopic (absorbs moisture from the air), so liquid, stored long time in open ware, it is not recommended.

Brake fluid must not come in contact with mineral oils. Even a small amount of mineral oil makes brake fluid unsuitable for use in the braking system.

Use only fresh brake fluid DOT 4.

Replace the brake fluid using a pumping unit VA G 1869. Connect the pumping unit in accordance with the instructions for use of pumping unit VA G 1869.

Open the tank of a hydraulic brake system and fill the brake fluid in order to prevent air from entering the brake system of the tank.

Remove the dust cap from the bleeder right rear brake caliper, clean it and put it on one end of the pure transparent hose which other end lower in the capacity partially filled with brake fluid.

Start the engine and unscrew a few turns the bleeder valve on the brake caliper. Pressing the brake pedal, displaces the brake fluid reservoir as long as the liquid level has dropped to the point of connection of fluid hose to the clutch.

Collect leaking liquid in the container. Tighten the bleeder valve.

Connect the pumping unit in accordance with the instructions for use of pumping unit VA G 1869.

On vehicles with a manual transmission, set the pure transparent hose on the bleeder valve clutch slave cylinder, remove the fitting several turns, and drain about 100 cm3 of brake fluid. Tighten the bleeder valve.

Further actions consistently follow the following calipers:

1 - rear right brake caliper;

2 - rear left brake caliper;

3 - front right brake caliper;

4 - front left brake caliper.

Remove the dust cap from the bleeder support, clean it and put it on the pure transparent hose which other end lower in the capacity partially filled with brake fluid.

Remove a few turns the bleeder valve and drain about 250 cm3 of brake fluid.

The incoming fresh brake fluid washes away the remnants of the old brake fluid in the hydraulic circuit brake system.

Tighten the bleeder valve.

Disconnect the hose from the tank of the brake system.

Check the force applied to the pedal. Free running of the brake pedal should be 1/3 of the pedal stroke.
