Traction control with torque reduction (ASR)

The system prevents wheel spin wheel drive vehicles during acceleration by reducing engine power (see. Fig. 1.86). The system works in all speed range in conjunction with the anti-lock system. When violations of the ABS system is not functioning. The traction control system is activated automatically when the engine is started. It can be optionally switched on and off by pressing the switch. When the system is turned off, the warning light ASR. Usually, the system should always be included. Only in exceptional cases, such as when driving with snow chains, when driving in deep snow or on loose ground, while rocking a stuck vehicle when wheel slip is required, the system is turned off.
