Car preparation for departure

Before leaving, check the technical condition of the car. You will spend no more than ten minutes, but you are sure the systems and components of the vehicle. Checking must be performed and the daily operation of the vehicle, even if it seems to you that everything is working perfectly. Some of the work can be carried out while the engine warms up, it saves a few minutes.

1. Coming to a parking lot, note that there are no traces of a car leaking oil or fluids. Whenever possible, eliminate leakage prior to departure.

2. Be sure to check the tire pressure and if necessary bring it to the recommended for this type of tire. The difference of pressure values within 0.2-0.3 kg / cm ² can worsen parameters handling, smooth running car and lead to an undesired skidding when braking or demolition. Because of the reduced pressure in the tires wear out faster tread and consumes more fuel.

3. Go around the car. Check the following:

- Completeness of removable parts (wiper blades, mirrors, etc.);

- The integrity of the glass body, lens headlamps and flashlights. Do not delay the replacement of broken lenses. Replace cracked glass body at the earliest opportunity;

- The state of the tires. In soft sidewalls of radial tires. Tyres with a nominal internal pressure dropped down look. Remember their appearance (draft);

- The presence and condition of license plates.

4. Check the oil level in the crankcase of the engine and, if necessary, finish it to norm.

5. Check the brake fluid level in the master cylinder reservoir and coolant expansion tank. If necessary, add fluid to the norm.

6. If the vehicle is equipped with a hydraulic power steering, check the fluid level in the power steering reservoir. If necessary, finish it to norm.

7. encourage as far as possible to check the oil level in a transmission and if necessary, add oil.

8. Check the operation of the parking brake. To do this, lift the lever up to the stop, count the number of clicks. If more than eight clicks, the parking brake should be adjusted.

9. Check the audio signal.

10. Check the headlights, taillights, extra stop lamp and turn indicators. Faulty lamp Replace (see. "Replacing the Lamp").

11. Check the operation of instrumentation, a cleaner and a windscreen washer.

12. Before the trip, make sure to check the vehicle is stationary braking system by pressing the brake pedal. If the pedal without resistance "failed" to the floor, then the brake system is faulty. Operation of the vehicle is prohibited.

In the event of a fault decide (subject to the requirements of Rules of traffic) on the beginning of the trip or repair of the vehicle.
