Adjusting the ignition point depending on the quality of gasoline
The electronic engine control unit integrated electronic octane-corrector, which allows to adjust the engine management system, depending on the characteristics of the fuel used adjusted ignition timing changes. The range of adjustment of this feature allows you to use gasoline with an octane rating of 83, 87, 92 or 95. The approximation analog of petrol AI-83 (research method for determining the octane number) is the A-76 petrol (motor method) or 80 RON (research method). The closest in meaning to the octane number of the A-87 is 92 octane. However, when using fuel with a low octane degraded dynamic performance and fuel consumption increases, so the use of petrol with an octane number less than 92 is not recommended. Detailed information on changes in ignition timing for gasoline at the appropriate corrected by closing the appropriate contacts to block octane-corrector (Table 2.1.). Numbers of contacts block octane-corrector shown in Fig. 2.3, and the colors of the wires contacts are shown in Table. 2.2.

NOTE Most new car leaves the factory with the setting of gasoline with an octane rating of 92. |
WARNINGS Using a fuel with a low octane lead to deterioration of fuel efficiency and engine thrust performance. Do not use gasoline with an octane rating lower than 92 octane and customize equalizer to work with such a fuel. |
