Replacing brake pads Rear brake
Minimum thickness of the friction brake linings 0.5 mm. Replace pads in the following cases: - Thickness of frictional overlays of less admissible; - The surface of the lining zamaslena; - Friction pad loosely connected to the base; - Lining with deep grooves and chipped. WARNINGS Do not use gasoline, diesel fuel or any other mineral solvents to clean the brakes. Replace both pads in brake mechanisms of both rear wheels. |
You will need: a key for the wheel bolts, pliers or a flat-blade screwdriver, pliers sliding. 1. Turn on the set and I transfer Chock the front wheels. 2. Make sure the parking brake lever was lowered all the way down (the car disinhibited). 4. If the brake fluid level in the master cylinder reservoir is located on a label ?MAX?, or close to it, pump out the liquid from the tank. Otherwise, the replacement pads it can be splashed. 6. Release the pliers from the front end of the upper folded pad return spring ...
A WARNING When using pliers or a screwdriver, be careful. We recommend to use special tongs for removing the clamping springs. |
| | 7. ... and turning the second end of the spring in the hole of the back pad, remove the spring. | 8. Hold the support column, click on the cup mount compression spring, rotate it a quarter turn ... |
| | 9. ... and remove the cup and spring ... | 10. ... and the support leg. |
| | 11. Slightly pull the back pad back and remove the spacer bar assembly with the adjuster. | 12. Move back and forth down the block to ease the tension of the lower return spring and remove the spring. |
| | 13. Disconnect the cable end of the expander lever and remove the rear brake pads. | 14. Remove the front brake pads earring lash adjuster ... |
| | 15. ... spring 1 and the lever 2 controller. | 16. Remove the pressure spring and the front support leg pad just as it did for the back pad (Nos. 8-10) ... |
17. ... and remove the front connector.
A WARNING Immediately after removing the pad fix the pistons of the working cylinder in any way possible (for example, pull the rubber band or tie wire), or the pistons might be pushed out of the cylinder and the spacer spring of hydraulic brake fluid will flow out. |
| Fig. 9.6. Details of the brake mechanism of a back wheel (showing details of the brake mechanism on the left side): 1 - cup clamping springs; 2 - the pressure of the spring; 3 - support columns; 4 - pad front brake the rear wheel; 5 - the lever of control clearances; 6 - earring regulator gaps; 7 - the top coupling spring; 8 - expander handbrake lever; 9 - rear brake pad rear wheel; 10 - spacer plate with the adjuster; 11 - a spring regulator gaps; 12 - the bottom coupling spring |
18. Clean from dirt and check the brake parts (Fig. 9.6). Deformed or heavily corroded, replace the parts. Strongly stretched, twisted and lost elasticity replace the spring.
HELPFUL ADVICE At each dismantling replaced with new brake pressure spring, cup springs and the support columns. |
NOTES Details regulator gap left brake interchangeable with the corresponding parts of the right brake (on the left and right tips of regulators is marked ?LH? and ?RH? respectively), do not mix them! Front and rear 1 2 rear brake pads are different in design (to the rear block with the help of the rivet axis expander attached parking brake lever). In addition, the brake pads are distinguished as the left and right. |
| | 19. Apply a place of friction front and rear brake pads on the brake shield refractory grease brake. | 20. Lubricate the threads of the rod 1 spacer strips refractory lubricant for brake and screw it to the end of the nut 2, but do not tighten it. |
HELPFUL ADVICE We recommend the replacement of the brake pads to replace the spacer strips assembled with the adjuster when they began to corrode, since the further exploitation of corrosion can cause the failure of the regulator gap. |
21. Release the slave cylinder pistons by the locking device, tighten the sliding pliers working cylinder pistons and brake pads set in reverse order of removal. A WARNING Note that when utaplivanii piston in the cylinder increases the brake fluid level in the master cylinder reservoir. If necessary, pump out the liquid. |
24. Adjust the clearance between the brake pads and the drum by pressing 10-15 times on the brake pedal. Each time you will hear the regulator. If clicks are stopped, the gap is set. 25. Replace the wheel. Check ease of rotation. 26. Similarly replace brake pads brake of the other wheel.
