Checking and replacing the engine management sensors

The coolant temperature sensor is installed in an end face of the cylinder head from the cylinder 4 by the ignition coil.
The sensor is a thermistor with a negative temperature coefficient: the electrical resistance of the sensor decreases with increasing temperature. The controller processes the sensor signal and sets the optimum leaner mixture when the engine is warming up.
In the coolant temperature sensor check the resistance at the sensor at different temperatures.
You will need: the key "19", the tester, thermometer.
1. Disconnect a wire from the plug "minus" of the storage battery.
2. Drain the coolant (see. "Replacing the coolant").

HELPFUL ADVICE
The cooling fluid can not be drained, and after removal of the gauge plug hole with your finger or a plug - loss of coolant will be minimal.

3. Press the clip and disconnect the connector harness from the coolant temperature sensor.
4. The key loosen the sensor ...
5. ... and remove the sensor from the cylinder head.

NOTE
Sensor connection with the cylinder head sealed washer. Strong compression washer replace a new one.

6. Connect the tester to the terminals of the sensor and measure the resistance thermometer and measure the current temperature.
7. To measure the resistance across the terminals of the sensor at different temperatures lower sensor in the hot water and check the change in its resistance as the cooling water, controlling the water temperature with a thermometer. The nominal value of the resistance at various temperatures are shown in Table. 10.5.

Table 10.5 data to check the coolant temperature sensor

8. In the event of resistance from the norm, replace the sensor.
9. Replace the coolant temperature sensor and tighten it to 20 Nm.
10. Connect the sensor wiring harness connector.
11. Fill the coolant.

The temperature sensor of the intake air in the air supply hose is glued. The sensor is a thermistor with a negative temperature coefficient: the electrical resistance of the sensor decreases with increasing temperature. Information on air temperature from the sensor controller controls the fuel injection amount.
In the intake air temperature sensor check the resistance across the terminals at different temperatures.
You will need: Phillips screwdriver with a blade, the tester, thermometer, pliers.
1. Turn off the ignition.
2. Squeeze the spring clip and disconnect the sensor wiring harness connector.
3. Connect the tester in voltmeter mode to conclusions pads harness, switch on the ignition and measure the voltage sensor. The voltage should be (5,0 ? 0,2) V.
4. Squeeze the pliers bent antennae clamp and slide clamp on a hose.
5. Disconnect the hose from the crankcase ventilation air supply hose fitting.
6. Loosen the clamp air supply hose to the air filter ...
7. ... and disconnect the hose from the air filter.
8. Similarly disconnect the air supply hose from the throttle assembly.
9. Connect a tester in ohmmeter mode to the terminals of the sensor and measure its resistance. Measure the current temperature of the air thermometer and compare the values obtained from the table. 10.6.
10. In the event of resistance from the norm replace the sensor assembly with the air supply hose.

The crankshaft position sensor engine, consisting of a magnet and a coil, the ring gear installed at the crankshaft pulley.
If a fault occurs in the chain of the crankshaft position sensor engine stops working, the controller memorizes the fault code and warning light in the instrument cluster. In this case, check the sensor and the ring gear to the absence of teeth, beating or other damage.
You will need: hex key '5', the tester.
1. Disconnect a wire from the plug "minus" of the storage battery.
2. Squeeze the latch and disconnect the connector harness the crankshaft position sensor.
3. Remove the block crankshaft position sensor from the holder.
4. Remove the sensor mounting bolt ...
5. ... and pull the sensor out of the hole in the engine block.
6. Connect the tester probes and measure the resistance across the terminals "1" and "2" sensor. The nominal value of the resistance should be within 0.5-0.6 ohms. If resistance does not match the specified range, replace the sensor.
7. Install the crankshaft position sensor engine in reverse order of removal.

The throttle position sensor is a variable resistor which is mounted on the axis of the throttle. The rotation axis of the damper causes a change in voltage from the sensor, wherein the controller determines the degree of throttle opening.
You will need: two keys "10", the tester.
1. Disconnect a wire from the plug "minus" of the storage battery.
2. Disconnect the sensor harness connector, depressing the latch.
3. Connect the tester in the resistance measurement mode to the terminals "B" and "C" of the sensor and measure the resistance at completely closed throttle. Resistance should be 1-3 ohms.

NOTE
So marked Sensor conclusions.
Symbols marked on the board harness.

4. Hand rotate the throttle to full open it and then measure the resistance. It should be 5.5-7.5 ohms.
5. Remove the two screws that secure the ...
6. ... and remove the throttle position sensor.
7. Set the throttle position sensor in the reverse order of removal.

The gauge of absolute pressure (vacuum) in the inlet pipe is installed in the engine compartment in the bulkhead. The sensor detects the change in pressure (vacuum) in the inlet pipeline, depending on the changes in load and speed of the crankshaft of the engine and converts it into a voltage output. Electronic engine control unit supplies the sensor supply voltage is 5 V, and processes it signals on the signal circuit. The sensor is connected to the "weight" via a variable resistor. Depending on the sensor signal computer calculates the amount of air aspirated into the engine.
You will need a voltmeter.
1. Check the power supply circuit of the sensor. For this??
... 2. Disconnect the harness from the sensor (ignition off) ...
3. ... connect the tester mode voltmeter to the "A" and "C" block (refer to the findings marked on the pad), switch on the ignition and measure the voltage. The supply voltage must be (5,0 ? 0,2) V.
4. Turn off the ignition and connect the wiring harness connector to the sensor.
5. Remove the pad of her cover by releasing the clips and connect the connector to the sensor.
6. Connect a tester in voltmeter mode to a wire harness connected to the output of the "B", and to "weight", start up the engine and measure the voltage sensor. When the engine is idling voltage shall be (1,3 ? 0,4) V.
