Checking and topping up the coolant
You will need: the coolant, a funnel with a clean cloth.
RECOMMENDATIONS The manufacturer recommends the use of coolant (antifreeze) based on ethylene glycol. Check with the dealer - the seller of the car brand drenched in your car fluids. Do not mix fluids of different colors and from different manufacturers. If you need to top up the coolant, but you do not know the brand drenched in liquid, replace all of the liquid in the cooling system. Use only products of proven manufacturers. Remember that the use of low-quality coolant leads to costly repairs of the engine! Before you start the vehicle on a flat surface.
WARNINGS Check the coolant level only on the cold engine. The coolant is toxic, so working with her take precautions. Do not pour the liquid in the tank above the label ?MAX?, because when the engine will increase its volume. When the engine is started the surge tank cap must be tightly closed. |
HELPFUL HINTS Be sure to monitor the level of coolant. His abrupt reduction or increase should be a signal for immediate check of the engine cooling system. If the freshly poured antifreeze suddenly quickly changed from blue to brown, then you sold the fake, which "forgot" to add corrosion inhibitors. As soon as possible, replace the liquid until it has had time to corrode the cooling system. |
The expansion tank is installed in the engine compartment on the left side. | | 1. The coolant level should be between marks ?MAX? and ?MIN?, marked on the wall of the expansion tank. | 2. For topping up the fluid, unscrew the expansion tank cap ... |
| | 3. ... and add coolant to the desired level. | 4. Tighten the surge tank cap. |
A WARNING Tightly wrap the bottle. With the engine expansion tank is pressurized, so out of poorly wrapped plugs can leak coolant or plug can break. |
