Replacing the alternator drive belt and the power steering pump

According to the manufacturer's recommendations alternator drive belt and the power steering pump must be replaced every 60 thousand. Km or 6 years of operation (whichever comes first).

You will need two keys "to 12".

1. Remove the air conditioning compressor belt (see. "Replacement of the air conditioning compressor drive belt").


2. Loosen the bolt of the generator to a tension lath ...	3. ... and two nuts of bolts of fastening of the generator to the engine block by holding the bolts from turning.

NOTE

Photo alternator mounting is made from under the car for clarity. Loosen the nuts on top of the engine compartment.

4. Move the generator to the engine block, to weaken a belt tension.

5. Remove the alternator drive belt and the power steering pump.

6. Install a new belt and adjust its tension (see. "Check and adjust belt drive alternator and power steering pump").

7. Replace the air conditioning compressor belt and adjust its tension (see. "Check and adjust belt drive air conditioner compressor").
