Crankcase ventilation (PCV)
PCV Driving 1 - the generator; 2 - valve crankcase ventilation system; 3 - airbag; | 4 - a hose; 5 - the air intake pipe. |
The valve crankcase ventilation system is controlled by vacuum created in the intake manifold during engine operation.
When the engine idling speed, the valve is opened slightly, resulting in a small amount of crankcase gas is diverted into the resonant chamber and further afterburned in the engine cylinders.
With increasing engine speed, opening degree of the valve increases, thereby increasing the amount of crankcase gas is diverted into the resonant chamber and further afterburned in the engine cylinders.
