Rear disc brakes
Replacing the brake pads Brake pad replacement is carried out in the same manner as replacement of the front brake pad. Check brake pads for wear and oil contamination and replace them if necessary.
A WARNING Always replace all the pads on the same axle of a vehicle, even if only one shoe is worn. If the brake pads will be installed again before removal they are necessary for marking. |
Minimum thickness of an overlay brake pads - 2.0 mm. Check for wear or damage, dustproof covers, as if the dust got into the saddle, it must be replaced or repaired. Before replacing the brake pads, remove half the brake fluid from the master cylinder reservoir.
Caliper rear disc brake Dismantling Remove the rear wheel. Turn out bolts and remove a support. Remove the bolts and remove the holder of a support with brake pads. Remove the cover of the piston.

Use your fingertips to remove the piston sleeve (Fig. 6.21).
A WARNING To prevent damage to the inner surface of the cylinder do not use sharpened tools. |
Assembly Check the cylinder and piston for wear, damage or corrosion. If necessary, replace damaged parts.
