Repairing drive shaft with SHRUS type TJ and BJ



WARNINGS
Do not disassemble the hinge BJ
The joints of the drive shaft using special grease. Do not use any other type of grease.
When assembling the hinge install new clamps.

Remove the clamps hinge TJ protective cover and pull the protective cover from the housing SHRUS TJ (Fig. 3.59).

A WARNING
Be careful - do not damage the protective cover.

Remove the thrust ring and spider assembly from the drive shaft (Fig. 3.60).
Clean the support rollers.
Remove collars of fastening of a protective cover of the hinge BJ, pull the cover of the hinge of the hinge cover and TJ V.J.

A WARNING
If the dust cover is to be reused to protect the cover wrap the tape drive shaft splines.

Check
Check the drive shaft splines for wear and damage.
Check for water and / or foreign material in the hinge BJ
Check for smooth rotation of the rollers and the wear or corrosion.
Check the groove inside TJ case of the hinge for wear or corrosion.
Check the dynamic damper for wear or cracks.

Assembly
To prevent damage to covers, wrap masking tape drive shaft splines (the hinge side TJ).
Grease the drive shaft and install the covers.
Recommended lubricant:
- In the case of the hinge BJ - CENTOPLEX 278m / 136K;
- In the case of the hinge TJ - KLK TJ41-182.

To set the dynamic damper hold joint and shaft on one line, secure the dynamic damper in the position shown in Fig. 3.61, and set a small clamp protective cover.
Lay the grease in the cover and set SHRUS TJ case.
The amount of lubricant is laid in the cover of the hinge joint and TJ, is given in the Table. 3.10.

Add the number of joint BJ is required lubrication, which was removed during the scan.
Install the protective covers.
Tighten the clamps hinge cover BJ

To check the air pressure in a cover hinge T.J. maintain the required distance between the clamps securing the protective cover or the length of the drive shaft when tightening the clamps. The nominal length of the drive shaft (Fig. 3.62) is given in Table. 3.11.
