The corners of the front axle
When you use the stand for wheel alignment has always set the vehicle on a level surface, the front wheels must be in the straight-ahead position. Before testing, make sure that the front suspension and steering are in good working condition, wheels and tires are not deformed, the tire pressure is normal. The angles of the wheels, see. "Data Maintenance" at the beginning of this section.
Convergence

Convergence - the difference between the distances measured between the rim flange rear wheels (B) (Fig. 5.32) and in front of (A) at their centers. The positive convergence means that the front wheels at their centers are located closer together than the rear. Convergence affects the straightness of the vehicle and its handling. Because of a convergence of forward wheels rotate in parallel. When you turn the car because of the location of the steering gear in the form of a trapezoid toe into a "discrepancy." Wheels arranged on the inner radius of rotation, rotates at a greater angle than the wheel on the outside turning radius. This is because when turning inner wheels must move in a circle of smaller radius than the outer wheel, which automatically maintains the cornering force and the trajectory of the vehicle.

Convergence (B-A or the angle a + b) is adjusted by turning the threaded portions of steering drafts (Fig. 5.33). Convergence of the left front wheel can be reduced by rotating the tie rod towards the rear of the vehicle, and the toe change is achieved by rotating the steering rod of the right and left wheels on the same certain value.
