Remove the drive belt, loosen the screws and remove water pump pulley (Fig. 2.114). Remove the cover and toothed belt tensioner. Remove the bolts of the water pump and remove alternator bracket. Remove the water pump from the engine block.
Check Check the water pump for cracks, damage or wear, if necessary, replace the water pump. Check bearings for damage, deviations, noise and slow rotation, if necessary, replace the water pump. Check for coolant leaks. If the cooling fluid flows from an opening located at the bottom of the pump shaft part of the hub, so the seal is damaged. In this case, replace the water pump.
Setting Clean the mating surface of the housing of the water pump and cylinder block.
Install O-ring in the groove on the front end of the inlet pipe of a cooling liquid, then moisten the O-ring with water. Do not apply oil or grease.

Install the water pump with a new lining on the block of cylinders and fix bolts, having tightened their demanded moment. Keep in mind that the water pump is bolted different lengths (Fig. 2.115). Tightening torque - 20-27 Nm. Install the tensioner toothed belt and toothed belt. Adjust the tension of the timing belt, and then install the casing of a gear belt. Install the water pump pulley, drive belt and adjust the belt tension. Fill the cooling system with clean coolant. Start up the engine and check the cooling system for leaks.
