Removing and installing transfer case
Withdrawal Setting | - Securing the transfer case on the jack, as well as during removal, safety circuits, lift it at the loading position behind the transmission and gently start moving forward, introducing a primary shaft engaged with the output shaft of the transmission. Do not attempt to dock with the transmission power of the box. If the input shaft is not included in the transmission, try povarirovat tilt boxes and / or slightly rotating the shaft itself to align it with the mating splines in the transmission.
- Install the bolts to the transmission transfer case. Tighten them with demanded effort.
- Unplug the safety chains, remove the jack holding up the transfer case.
- Install drive shafts (Chapter Clutch and transmission line).
- Replace the components of the exhaust system (Head of the Power supply system and exhaust).
- Connect the vacuum / vent line.
- Attach the transfer case shift lever to the stem of the lever and make the adjustment rod (Section Adjusting shift rod).
- Install VSS / nozzle speedometer and connect the electrical connector (Head Automatic transmission).
- Check the oil level in a box, if necessary, make topping (Head of Adjustment and routine maintenance). If the vehicle is equipped with a Manual transmission, at this stage, you should check the level of the transmission oil in it (Head of Adjustment and routine maintenance).
- Remove the jacks and lower the car to the ground.
- Connect the negative cable to the battery.
- Spend the sea trials, ensure correct operation of all nodes. Check components for leaks.
