The front cover and the oil pump 2.0 l DOHC
Withdrawal | 1. Remove the timing belt. 2. Remove all screws on oil sump. 3. Remove the oil pan. 4. Remove the oil strainer and gasket. 5. Remove the plug and gasket, then disconnect the compensating spring and a pressure relief valve on the oil filter bracket. | 6. Remove the oil pressure gauge. |
7. Remove the oil filter bracket and gasket. | 8. Using the special tool, remove the plug from the front cover. |
| 9. Before loosening nuts oil pump pulley, first remove the cap from the left side of the cylinder block and insert a screwdriver into the hole to lock the left balancing shaft in the original position. Screwdriver used for this purpose should have a rod with a diameter of 8 mm, which can be inserted to a depth of 60 mm. |
| 10. Loosen the lock nut on the oil pump pulley and remove the pulley. Loosen the pulley bolt right balancing shaft as long as it can not be unscrewed by hand. |
| 11. Remove the front bolts of the front cover and remove the cover and gasket. Remove the two balancing shaft of the cylinder. |
| 12. Remove the oil pump cover from the front cover. |
13. Remove the oil pump gears of the front cover. |
|
Check Oil seal | 1. Check the front oil seal for wear or damage working edges and, if necessary, replace it. 2. Check the sealing lip on the absence of its deterioration. If necessary, replace the oil seal. |
|
Oil pressure sensor | 1. If the warning light engine oil pressure light up after the ignition is switched on and goes out after starting the engine, so the engine oil pressure sensor is defective. If the warning light engine oil pressure does not come on after the ignition is switched on, check the oil pressure sensor, lamp and wiring. | 2. If there is an electric current after ignition and no current when the engine starts, it means that engine oil pressure sensor is defective. If the engine oil pressure sensor is faulty, check the bulb and wiring. Operating pressure switch oil pressure sensor: 14,71-29,42 kPa |
| 3. Using a depth of 24 mm wrench, tighten the torque sensor. Torque: 8-12 N ??? m |
|
|
Check the oil pressure sensor | | 1. An ohmmeter check up conductivity of the connection between the sensor and the terminal block. In the absence of conductivity, replace the sensor. |
2. An ohmmeter check up conductivity of the connection between the sensor terminal and the cylinder block with the extended rod sensor. If the conductivity is available even at an extended stock, replace the sensor.
| 3. However, if no conductivity even with a vacuum of 50 kPa to an opening of the sensor, the sensor operates properly. |
|
|
Oil pump | 1. Install oil pump gear to the front cover and turn it to ensure its smooth rotation without jamming. 2. Make sure that there is no wear on the contact surface between the front cover and the surface of gear oil pump cover. | 3. After installation of the oil pump gear to the front cover, measure the clearance between the gear and the oil pump jack in a cover. - Clearance pinion oil pump: 0,16-0,21 mm
- The gap driven gear oil pump: 0.13-0.18 mm
- Maximum permissible backlash pinion oil pump: 0.25 mm
- Maximum permissible backlash driven gear oil pump: 0.25 mm
|
| 4. The metal ruler and a feeler gauge, measure the side clearance of the oil pump gear. - Backlash pinion oil pump: 0,08-0,14 mm
- Backlash driven gear oil pump: 0.06-0.12 mm
- Maximum permissible backlash side of the pinion gear of the oil pump: 0.25 mm
- Maximum permissible backlash driven gear oil pump: 0.25 mm

Setting | | 1. Coat the gear and align the timing marks on the gears. |
| 2. Using the special tool 09214-32000, set the front cover oil seal the front of the crankshaft. |
| 3. Install the special tool 09214-32100 on the front end of crankshaft and apply a thin layer of oil on the outer surface of the special tool to install the front cover. |
| 4. Replace the front cover and temporarily tighten the bolts to the bracket projection filter. |
| 5. Replace the front cover with a new gasket and secure it with screws. Torque: 20-27 N ??? m |
| 6. Insert a screwdriver into the through hole for the plug to block the left balancing shaft in the original position. |
7. Install new O-ring into the groove of the front cover. | 8. Using the special tool, install the plug and tighten it to torque. |
| 9. Apply a layer of sealant into the groove of the oil pan flange as shown. | The thickness of the sealant layer should be about 6 mm. After applying the sealant set the oil pan for no more than 15 minutes. |
|
| 10. When screwing bolts sump consider that the bolts are of different lengths. Tighten the bolts to a torque according to specification. Torque: 10-12 N ??? m |
| 11. Using a special tool, screw the oil pressure gauge, pre-lubricated thread sealant layer sensor. Sealant: 1104 or equivalent | Do not tighten the pressure sensor with a large torque. The tightening torque of the pressure sensor: 8-12 N ??? m |
