Check the crankcase ventilation valve PCV

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Disconnect the ventilation hose from the valve crankcase ventilation (PCV). Remove the PCV valve from the lid and connect the ventilation hose.

2. Start up the engine at idle, put his finger to the free end of the PCV valve and check that vacuum is felt, is present in the intake manifold.
The plunger in the PCV valve should move back and forth.

3. If the vacuum is not felt, clean the PCV valve and breather hose in a solvent or replace them.

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Remove the crankcase ventilation valve.

2. Insert a thin rod into the PCV valve from the thread and check whether the plunger is moved.

3. If the plunger does not move, it means that the crankcase ventilation valve is dirty. Clean or replace the valve.

Setting

PERFORMANCE ORDER

Install the crankcase ventilation valve and tighten its moment given in the specification.

Torque: 8-12 N ??? m
