The exhaust system of cars with catalytic converter
To reduce the emissions in the exhaust gases of harmful substances (CO, HC, NOx) of the engine control system is modified with the addition of special elements. The changes affected the combustion chamber, intake manifold, camshaft and ignition systems, which form the main control system. Additional control devices include a system of exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) and catalytic converter. These systems have been combined into an effective system that controls the decrease in emissions while maintaining a good driveability and fuel economy.
