Rear axle



Rear axle

1 - cap;
2 - a nut;
3 - a washer;
4 - external bearing;
5 - a brake drum;
6 - the outer ring of the internal bearing;
7 - a sealing ring;
8 - axis;
9 - Brake shield;
10 - the brake pads;
11 - a rotor sensor ABS;
12 - the internal bearing;
13 - an external ring of the external bearing.

The rear wheels and brake drums are mounted on tapered roller bearings. The bearing inner ring mounted on the axle, which is fixed on the rear axle.

The outer rings of bearings mounted in a sleeve which is an integral part of the brake drum.

Brake drum / sleeve bearings are attached to the axle nuts.

Nuts and washers are used to hold the bearings and the sleeve on the axis, and to adjust the preload of the bearings.

Withdrawal
PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Raise the rear of the car and fix on support.
2. Remove the wheel.
3. Remove the dust cap.
4. Small chisel unbend a fillet and turn away a nut.

A warning

Be careful not to damage the groove and thread on the end of the shaft.


5. Remove from the axis of the brake drum, a washer and bearings as an assembly. If it is difficult to remove a brake drum, push the brake pads.
6. Remove the rear brake pads assembly.
7. Special adaptation OK670 990 aa0 remove the rotor sensor ABS.

8. Remove the oil sealing ring of the bearing and discard it.

9. Remove the internal bearing of the bearing bush.

A warning

If the bearings are to be re-installed, mark their position for the installation to its original position.


10. Special adaptation OK68A 176 002 Remove the outer ring of the inner and outer bearings.
11. Remove the gauge ABS.
12. Remove the nuts to the rear axle beam.
13. Remove the brake shield, then secure it with a wire to the rear axle and remove the axle.
14. Extract the ridge bolts from the bearing axis.

A warning

Not is extruded ribbed bolts of the bearing axis unnecessarily.

Do not reinstall the previously extruded ribbed bolts.


Check

Check the following items and, if necessary, replace them.

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Check the bearing for wear, damage and seizure.

A warning

Replace the bearing assembly (inner and outer rings).


2. Check the dust cap.
3. If there is wear or rust on the surface mating with the sealing ring, clean the surface.
4. Check bushing for cracks or damage, as well as rust and working out in the bearing seat.
5. Check the brake drum for cracks or damage.

A warning

Traces of rust, remove fine sandpaper.


Setting

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Press in the ribbed bolts in the support axis.
2. Place the sensor ABS.
3. Install the brake shield.
4. tighten the nut with the axis of the support on the rear axle.

Torque: 43-61 N ???

5. Tighten the sensor ABS.

The inhaling moment: 17,6-26,5 N ??? m

6. Install the brake pad assembly.
7. Hammer set the outer ring of the bearing.

A warning

Install the bearing to the end in the shoulder socket.


8. Install the inner bearing into the hub bearing.
9. lithium grease grease a working edge of a sealing ring.
10. Install the O-ring.
11. The steel mandrel set rotor sensor ABS.

A warning

At installation use a new O-ring sealing lip is pre-lubricated with lithium grease.

When installing a sealing ring do not knock directly on it with a hammer.


12. Fill with lithium grease the area shown in the figure.
13. Install the brake drum bearing and bushing assembly on the axle.
14. Hold the brake drum axis so as not to damage the seal ring.
15. Install the outer bearing.
16. Install the washer.
17. Screw a new nut.
18. Adjust the bearing preload.

Preload bearing: 0,63-0,98 N ??? m

19. Hammer nut fillet into a groove axis.

Nut tightening torque: 19.6 N ??? m

20. Install the dust cap.
