Repair strut rear suspension
You will need: the keys "12", "14", "17", "19", the adaptation for spring compression. | | 2. Remove the pins from the top support strut spacer. | 3. Fit the compression springs ... |
| | 4. ... and compress a spring. | 5. Finally, unscrew the shock absorber rod nut, hold the key shock-absorber rod from turning ... |
| | ... 6. Remove the top support strut ... | 7. ... and the rubber seal of the upper coil spring. |
| | 8. Remove spring rear suspension. | 9. Remove the strut shock absorber rod guard ... |
| | 10. ... and buffer compression stroke. | 11. Remove the rubber gasket from the lower bearing cup spring. |
12. Inspect the rubber grommets top and bottom coils of the spring, and if there are signs of aging rubber, replace them. |
| 13. Install the shock absorber vertically several times until it stops and lift the lower shock-absorber rod. Make sure that the rod is moved without failure, jamming and knocks. Otherwise, replace the strut assembly from the shock absorber. Furthermore, the strut is replaced when detecting liquid drips (permitted slight fogging in the upper part of the shock absorber body) and threads are damaged in the upper part of the stem. |
14. Examine buffer compression stroke for mechanical damage, replace the damaged buffer. |
15. Replace the top support in the event of strong deformation, local buckling and separation from her rubber valve array. |
| 16. Install the rubber gasket on the bottom coil spring bearing cup so as to bend the gasket coincides with the reference plates bend. |
17. Install the parts in reverse order, with the following: |
- Lower spring coil should rest on the lower support lug cup ... ... and the upper coil - in the upper ledge of the rubber gasket; - Replace the self-locking nut of the shock-absorber strut rod regardless of its status.
NOTE Tightening torque shock absorber rod nut 40-55 Nm. Tightening torque of the screws of the top support strut 20-30 Nm. |
