Removing the brake pads



ATTENTION
When replacing the brake pads are always changing internal and external linings and pads cover included.

Drain the brake fluid.
Remove the front wheel and temporarily tighten wheel drive two nuts.
Remove the bolt and disconnect the brake hose bracket.

Hold the guide fingers, remove the caliper mounting bolts (Fig. 6.44).

Turn off fixing bolts of the caliper body and remove the caliper (Fig. 6.45).

Hold caliper in a vice with soft sponges with a screwdriver and hammer, remove the anthers of the guide pin (Fig. 6.46).

Using a screwdriver, remove the snap ring cover and cylinder cover (Fig. 6.47).
Place a cloth between piston and cylinder.

Using compressed air, remove the piston from the cylinder (Fig. 6.48).

Using a screwdriver, remove the gland (Fig. 6.49).

Measuring the thickness of brake linings

Measure the thickness of brake linings line (Fig. 6.50).
The standard thickness of 12 mm.
The minimum thickness of 1.0 mm.
If the minimum thickness of the pads is not as specified, replace the pads.
Fully Depress the piston inside the cylinder, using a special device.
Install the disc brake pads.
