Removing windscreen
Disconnect the negative battery cable. Remove the following items: - Windshield wiper arm with a brush; - Grille bulkhead; - rearview mirror; - Rain sensor (with an automatic cleaning system of the windshield); - Cover the front of the rack; - The sun visor; - Navigational lights. Move aside the headlining. Apply masking tape on the edge of the casing. Apply masking tape on the dashboard to avoid damage.

NOTE Cars with automatic cleaning the windscreen have a sensor that is built into the windshield. If the sensor fails, it must be replaced along with the windshield. After the initial setting of the rain sensor can not be used with other sensor automatic cleaning system of the windshield so rain sensor should also be replaced. |
Reuse of the windscreen Remove the base.
Srezhte seal around the perimeter of the glass, using a stripper seal (Fig. 8.39). Pull out the seal. Remove the windshield. Reuse of the windscreen

Awl make a hole in the seal acting from inside the vehicle (Fig. 8.40).
Pass through the opening a special device (string), crop it to the desired length (Fig. 8.41). Wrap the ends of a special device (string) around the rods.
NOTE Cut through the seal device acting as a chain saw, string should work over the entire length so as to prevent its breakage due to local overheating. |
Hold one end of a special device (string) and pulling the other, cut the seal on the perimeter of the windshield.
NOTE Since the upper portion of the pin is adhered to the seal, cut it with a special device (string). |
Cut pins. Remove the windshield. Mark the position of the pins and remove the pins from the windshield. Remove the edging of the windscreen.
