Safety during maintenance
Handling refrigerant. Do not breathe the air conditioner refrigerant and lubricant vapors. Perhaps the irritation of the eyes, nose and throat. In addition, for reasons of environmental protection, we strongly recommend the use of equipment for recovery / recycling / recharging by removing R-134a refrigerant from the air conditioning system. Accidental release of the system, ventilate the work area before resuming service. Do not perform tests for leaks or leaks service equipment and / or air conditioning system of a vehicle using compressed air. Some mixtures of air and R-134a refrigerant shown flammable at elevated pressures. These mixtures when ignited may cause an accident or damage to property. For more information on health and safety, can be obtained from the refrigerant producers. Do not allow refrigerant leak near an open flame or heat source. Toxic gas may be formed upon contact of the refrigerant with an open flame or heat source, such as a cigarette and the heater. In carrying out work that may cause leakage of refrigerant, extinguish or remove these heat sources and provide adequate ventilation. Handling the liquid refrigerant is dangerous. Contact with the skin of the refrigerant can cause frostbite local. When handling refrigerant, wear gloves and goggles. If you get coolant in your eyes, immediately rinse them with clean water and consult a doctor.
Storage refrigerant. The container for the refrigerant is pressurized. By heating the container, it may explode with a scattering metal fragments and liquid refrigerant that can cause serious injury. Store the refrigerant at temperatures below 40 ? C.
Actions with insufficient refrigerant. If troubleshooting is found insufficient refrigerant, not reloaded (add) the refrigerant. Since the exact amount of refrigerant can not be determined by the system pressure, never reloaded system refrigerant. With a shortage of too much or too little amount of refrigerant in the system may have a secondary fault such as damage or deterioration of the individual elements of the system. Therefore, upon detection of an insufficient level of coolant, completely remove refrigerant from the system and charge the specified amount of refrigerant.
Handling of oil compressor. In the compressor of the car, use only oil ATMOS GU10. Using PAG oils instead ATMOS GU10 may cause damage to the air conditioning compressor. Take care not to spill oil ATMOS GU10 on the car. Contact with oil on the surface of the car can damage the paint. If oil fell on the car body, immediately wipe it off. Compressor Oil ATMOS GU10 (oil PAG) more effectively absorbs moisture, than the previously used mineral oil. If moisture gets into the compressor oil air-conditioning system may be damaged. Therefore, to prevent the ingress of moisture in oil, set the cap immediately after use with compressor oil or removing elements of the air conditioning system.
