 | It is recommended to drain the coolant from the engine cooled down. If this is not possible, place a piece of solid matter in the oil filler plug of the radiator or the expansion tank (depending on the design), slowly turn the cap to the first stop and relieve pressure. Reduced pressure can lead to boiling of the coolant, so take precautions to avoid burns from hot steam release. Turn the plug to the second stop and remove it. |
