General Precautions | 1. Disconnect the negative wire from the battery. 2. Remove the spark plugs to facilitate rotation of the engine. 3. Unless otherwise specified otherwise, turn the motor in the normal direction. 4. Review the requirements for the efforts of a tightening of carving connections. 5. With the appropriate configuration, mark the position of the CKP sensor before removing it. 6. Do not turn the crankshaft through the timing asterisks or other devices. 7. Do not turn the crankshaft and camshafts are removed when the timing chain. |

Procedures for setting the timing | Replacing gas distribution chain can be produced without removal of the engine. Use the tools below the new chain can be connected to the old, thrown over sprockets and riveted.
Nut viscous clutch has a left-hand thread.
Bolts control the intake camshaft and the exhaust camshaft sprocket [9] must be replaced without fail. |
| 1. Give the first cylinder [1] to 20 ? after TDC. 2. Make sure the valve drive cams of the first cylinder both camshafts deployed workers projections upwards. 3. Replace the camshaft locking tool [2]. | If necessary, a little tweak the position of the crankshaft within an acceptable range (20 ÷ 30 ? after TDC at blocking the intake camshaft and 25 ÷ 35 ? after TDC at blocking the exhaust camshaft) in order to facilitate the installation of bollards. Remember that the rotation of the camshaft sprocket one tooth leads to a shift of the crankshaft of approximately 20 ?. |
4. On engines with adjustable intake camshaft, make sure that during replacement of the chain regulator tabs remain in the "slow" [3]. | Breach proper assembly can result in internal engine damage due to impact of the valve piston crowns! |
5. Before proceeding with repair procedures, loosen one turn the tensioner nut [4], and remove the last assembly from the engine. 6. Give the spring-loaded tensioner nut [4], remove the finger [5] and the spring [6], then press the plug [7] into the tensioner body [8] in the direction of the arrow. Check the condition of components of the tensioner, replace the defective items. 7. Install the tensioner on the engine and tighten fixture with demanded effort (80-nm). Put into the body [8] plug [7], the spring [6] and the pin [5]. Screw the nut [4] and tighten it with a force of 40 nm. 8. Grease the central crankshaft pulley bolt and washer. Replace the bolt and tighten it with demanded effort. [10] |
