Check the engine oil level

Engine oil level check Every 500 kilometers, and before long trips. Verification is done on a cold engine, or in a few minutes after stopping the engine, setting the vehicle on level ground. Remove the dipstick (Fig. 1.46), and wipe it dry. Insert the probe until it stops, remove it and check the oil level. If necessary, add oil until the level does not exceed the maximum (Fig. 1.47).

Needless high level of oil leads to the ingress of oil on the spark plugs, increased formation of soot and smoke is the engine. When adding oil to use oil of the same brand and type that flooded the engine.
