Technical condition
Remove piston rings and clean the pistons of a deposit. On the surface of the piston should not be scratches and burrs; otherwise replace pistons. Measure the diameter of the piston.

The diameter of the piston is measured at a distance d from the lower end of the skirt (fig. 2.10) and is in mm: Engine GA14DE 7,5 Engine GA16DE 9,5 Engine SR20DE 11 Check the clearance between the piston and cylinder using a set of probes or flat rasschityte on the results of measurements of the gap parts. Make sure there is no damage crank pins, signs of overheating. Check opening the upper and lower heads of the connecting rod. They should not be damaged. Check the clearance between the piston pin and connecting rod sleeve top. In the case of an increased gap, replace the piston pin, connecting rod bushing or rod. When replacing the hub align the lubrication hole with a hole in the head of a rod. Check the clearance between the piston rings and grooves. If significant deviations from tolerance to measure the thickness of the piston rings. If necessary, replace rings and pistons. Check end gap rings. When the gap is much larger, even with new piston rings set oversize pistons, cylinders pierce or replace the cylinder block.
