Details Front Wheel Drive: I - gasoline engine; II - the diesel engine; 1 - the external hinge of equal angular speeds; 2 - clamp protective cover; 3 - a protective cover; 4, 9 - retaining ring; 5 - shaft; 6 - anti-vibration load; 7 - a collar anti-vibration load; 8 - the hinge of type "Tripod"; 10 - the case of the internal hinge of equal angular speeds; A - the distance between the outer edge of the cargo and the outer surface of the external hinge

When the work is guided by Fig. 4.56. Drain the oil from the gearbox. Lift the front of the car and remove a wheel from the right side. On vehicles with automatic transmission for removal of the right shaft, first remove the left drive shaft.

Disconnect the brake hose clamp on the strut front suspension. Remove the two screws on the guide brake pads, remove the guide wire and attach it to the front wheel arch, without loading the brake hose. Lock the rotation of the tool with the wheel hub, remove the cotter pin, unscrew and remove the nut on the hub. Remove the nut ball joint and tie rod with a universal puller press out the finger from the knuckle. Remove the two screws on the knuckle to strut front suspension and disconnect a fist on the counter. Turn the steering knuckle down and out of the hub outer joint of the drive shaft. To remove the internal hinge of the gearbox housing, use a lever as the hinge is attached to the side gear with the locking spring ring, so you need to make a considerable effort to remove it (Fig. 4.57).

To remove the front wheel drive shaft to the right for vehicles with automatic transmission, insert, as shown in Fig. 4.58, screwdriver and press out the constant velocity joint through the outlet for the left shaft of the differential. Remove the drive shaft, ensuring the presence of a lock ring on the internal hinge slots. When installing the drive shaft, replace all self-locking nuts. Install the transaxle case new packing, filling it with a working part of lubricant. Replace the retaining ring on the shank of the internal hinge. Carefully insert the stem into the hole side gear until you feel the retaining ring snaps into place. Check the locking shaft twitch it in the axial direction. Install the tail section of the external hinge into the hole of the hub wheel. The rest of the operations are performed in reverse order of removal. Tighten the nut specified torque to the front hub. Pour the oil in the gearbox.
